Welcome to SDinGov

The original international community event for anyone involved in designing and commissioning public services. Returning for its 10th year, SDinGov is back for an in person 3 day conference: 20-22 September 2023.

We attract participants who either manage, design or develop central and local government services, health and education services, emergency sector services, civic technologies and others including Government employees, consultants and design agencies.

Our curated event experience includes a mixture of inspiring keynotes, engaging live sessions, interactive group sessions, speaker Q&A - plus an all-important hallway track where you can meet and share experiences with fellow practitioners.

We are committed to improving participant and speaker inclusivity and creating a safe space for everyone to enjoy. All participants must adhere to our Code of Conduct.

What our participants say

"I attended the Service Design in Government conference in the first month of my Service Design masters course. This conference made me realise that Service Design is the field for me! The conference sessions were so impactful and interactive, and I left with fresh ideas, new techniques and tools, and renewed inspiration to engage in this work. But most importantly, I met new friends. I was a bit intimidated to attend this conference alone. Everyone I spoke to was so warm and welcoming, excited to find ways to help a student beginning their journey as a Service Designer. Now, I have a network of friends in this field who I regularly call up to bounce ideas off of, or collaborate with. I can’t wait to return!"

- Lexie Grüber-Pérez (2022 participant)
