About this Lightning Talks

The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) will be responsible for state aid when the UK leaves the EU. This means not only creating all the new statutes (laws) required to enable state aid in the UK, but also producing a system that can handle the process of applications. We undertook a lean service discovery in just 4 weeks to define the artefacts that got the project up and running in a complex and uncertain time. This is what we learnt.

About the Speaker

I have been working in UX, research and design for over 10 years and have an academic background in psychology and ergonomics. I currently work at Nomensa, which is the largest independent agency in Europe, and there I have worked on a number of projects across government and the charity sector.

I have worked in companies ranging from small agencies to huge multinationals (such as Maersk Line) and, as a result, have a good all-round understanding of the application of UX and the inherent problems with trying to deliver great experiences.

I am particularly interested in lean UX, user research and strategy - and I like to explore the role of storytelling in UX.
