About the Speakers
Lucy is a senior researcher and service designer at Snook. For the past year she has been embedded at Tesco, supporting the PLC to adopt service design by executing ‘live’ projects.
At Tesco, she has contributed to the build of frameworks and guides to support organisations to adopt a user-centred approach. Lucy has applied her design practice to the needs of charities and foundations, including the development of a service design strategy for the Big Lottery Fund. She is now training staff from Save the Children in approaches to human-centred design.
Other work includes user research with fishermen for the development of marine technology, understanding the needs of hospital volunteers in the NHS and contributing to the build of a user research library for Hackney Council.
Her expertise spans across mixed method user research, agile, relationship management, storytelling and data analysis.
Mathew is a senior researcher and strategist at Snook. He specialises in helping people do things better with data and design for new technologies.
He holds an MSc in computer science from the University of Nottingham, where he focused on simulation and data analysis.
Mathew combines a 5-year track record in strategic design, deep technical knowledge and agile delivery methods to help people create innovative products and services. He is currently strategy lead for Big Society Capital’s new brand and website. He also worked with London Midland to help understand and improve the customer experience of taking bicycles on trains.
