About this Case Study

If we accept that digital transformation is a people problem as much as a technology one, why are aren’t we fixing the horribly broken hiring process across government?

As a digital community in government, we’ve learned hard lessons about service design, using data, improving content and engagement tactics - but we barely use this knowledge when it comes to recruitment. This session outlines some of the major flaws in current processes, with examples from the UK and further afield.

About the Speakers

Matt Jukes

Matt has had a long career as a public servant including leading the team who rebuilt the Office for National Statistics website, spent time working with mySociety on FixMyStreet.com and their partnership with Facebook on their 'Town Hall' product. He is now a consultant at Notbinary, helping organisations apply the culture, practices, processes and technologies of the internet era to respond to users' raised expectations.
