About the session

Prototyping is a designer’s old friend. But organisations aren’t benefiting from it as much as they could.

We’d like designers, researchers and product owners to get excited about prototyping again, by helping them feel energised to try out new prototyping techniques and empowered to help their organisations embrace prototyping too.

From rough-and-ready paper prototypes to provocatyping speculative futures, there are many ways organisations can innovate through prototyping. But most importantly it provides the evidence needed to make confident, low-risk and well-informed decisions.

In this talk we will;
- Share examples of prototypes that break the stereotypical mould
- Show you how to convince decision-makers to invest in rapid prototyping
- Explain the tangible steps to take that’ll make your prototyping more impactful

Participant takeaways:

  • A renewed idea and energy in prototyping and how they can use it
  • Inspiration and ideas for new ways to prototype
  • Techniques to overcome common barriers when introducing a new way of working
  • Clear ways to take prototyping to the next level in your organisation
