About the session

As service design practitioners, it's important to be able to visualise throughout the design process: to help understand a problem, to present data and findings from user research, or to help bring real-world context to ideas and prototypes. Visual thinking can add a whole new dimension to communication within the design process, helping service designers to build creative confidence and to bring their design work to life.

Visual thinking is a tool kit we use every day to improve communication, collaboration, learning and problem-solving.

So that you can see the power of visuals for yourself, we’d love to invite you to our hands-on session to get to grips with visual thinking.

Participant takeaways:

  • An intro to what visual thinking is
  • The basics of how to draw
  • A visual library to communicate ideas
  • Thought Sketching - learn how to get what’s in your head down onto paper. Great for defining problems, explaining complex ideas, creating a visual summary and more!
