About the session
We are all familiar with some of the things that get in the way of good service design. Sometimes it's a lack of understanding or support from leadership, or a default approach that works against good design practice. It can be overriding priorities or barriers from 'how things work around here'.
Whatever it is, these things prevent us from doing our jobs well and can get in the way of serving the people who need public services.
But what can we do about it?
Kate will talk about exciting, real life examples of the people, teams and organisations that have been changing how they work in radical ways to deliver more successful services as a whole. The steps they're taking to embed good service leadership, to raise visibility and understanding of service performance, so that different disciplines can work together more cohesively, and on the sort of work that results in more successful services.
With lots of practical ideas and advice for what you can do yourself, no matter your role, grade or remit, to help the place you work to become a true service organisation - starting this week.
