About the session

Wondering where to begin with trauma-informed design?

This interactive workshop will take our curious humans on a journey of what is trauma-informed design and how to begin exploring it when you’re not the expert, by sharing reflections and learning how a third-sector organisation designed a well-being hub in a trauma-informed approach.

Discover what it means to you to design in this way and get hands-on with the challenge of how you might use it too!

Participant takeaways:

  • Understanding more about what trauma-informed design is and it’s impact on using/not using this approach can have on the people you are designing for
  • As a beginner, how to begin
  • Understanding what this approach means to your design practice and how you may use it when designing a service
  • Being open to exploring how to apply this approach
