About the session
Are you hungry to harness the power of innovation in your work? Do you believe new ideas can serve your community better than the status quo?
You aren't alone. Public servants worldwide are applying innovation and design to increase impact. But the reality is, innovation is often stifled by capacity constraints in governments.
During this session, participants will play three innovation games to unlock the potential of innovation in capacity-constrained environments, harnessing the power of human-centred design to increase impact.
Participant takeaways:
- That using innovation tools can be interactive, exciting, and replicable in their work
- How to harness the power of play as an accessible, light-touch, and uplifting tool, regardless of time commitment
- Concrete examples of how larger innovation tools can be consolidated and gamified to meet governments where they are
This session includes:
- Interaction/hands-on.
- Has a session number cap: 40 participants.

Methods, Innovation, International, Design Gamification, Human-Centred Design, City Innovation, Harnessing the power of play.
