About the session
Organisations early on in their service design and digital journeys often struggle with knowing where to start. Discovery is advertised as the starting place for delivering service improvements. However, there’s a lot of work that needs to happen behind the scenes to get the organisation ready to do a meaningful discovery. In this talk we will cover our experiences and lessons learnt from supporting organisations in the Welsh public sector to tackle the messy part that happens before discovery.
Participants Takeways:
- Scoping and setting up a discovery properly is an essential but often overlooked element of improving services
- How to identify opportunities for discovery from a blank sheet of paper
- What to consider when planning an organisations first discovery
Themes: Discovery, Service Design
